About Us

As the Research and Evidence Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of Heart Foundation Guidelines and Systematic Reviews, in addition to supporting the Clinical Evidence teams submission, policy and evidence work. Ensuring that healthcare recommendations are backed by the highest-quality evidence.
Your Impact
Reporting to the Manager, Clinical Evidence, you will:
- Conduct systematic literature searches across major databases like PubMed, EMBASE, and Cochrane Library.
- Extract, analyse, and synthesise research data to inform clinical guidelines and systematic reviews.
- Assess the risk of bias in studies and ensure research quality.
- Develop summary of findings tables using the GRADE methodology to evaluate evidence strength.
- Support stakeholder consultation processes, compiling and categorising feedback.
- Assist in drafting recommendations, reports, and supporting clinical documentation.
- Provide assistance and lead other aspects of work within the Clinical Evidence team such as literature reviews, submissions, clinical content reviewing
We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented researcher with:
- A degree in a health-related field with strong knowledge of research methodologies.
- Experience conducting systematic reviews and synthesising clinical evidence.
- Understanding of evidence-based healthcare, including risk of bias assessments.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail in research processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present complex data clearly.
- Proficiency in literature databases and reference management tools.
- Project management experience with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
